About Moore's Sewing and Learning Center Moore's has been serving Louisville, Ky. in the sewing machine and service business since 1985. Our store is located in Louisville, KY approximately 5 miles south of the Louisville airport off interstate 65. Starting September 29,2008 our hours are 10 AM to 6 PM Monday through Friday and 10 AM to 4:00PM on Saturdays (we are closed on Sundays). Effective mid September 2008 we have grown. In addition to the space we previously occupied we now have expanded to also occupy the space that was formerly Acono Shoe Repair/Alterations Shop. We now have a store that is almost twice the original size. With much needed updating and redecorating finished we think you will agreee it is an atttractive place to shop! We are delighted to announce that Nancy Reynolds, who worked with us at our former location in Clarksville, IN, has agreed to come to Louisville to manage the store. Nancy has an informed and carrying staff who are enthusiastic sewists. She will make sure you get the excellent service you deserve. We are working hard to provide you with an interesting and varied class menu. Our Janome embroidery club is going strong under the inspired leadership of Linda Bowles. Our beginning quilting series has been popular and we have a waiting list for next year. We are starting a serger training series which will take the mystery out of that handy little machine! We are proud to be a Janome dealer of sewing machines, software and accessories. Janome is the world's largest manufacturer of sewing machines. Many people will tell you that Janome has the best performance/service record in the industry. Horn of America is our premier line of sewing furniture. In addition we carry software programs to support many brands of embroidery machines. Buzz Tools, Alphasizer, and Monowizzard monograming software are other programs we stock. Look to us for a full spinner rack of Dakota Design CDs. Moore’s stocks Mettler all purpose sewing thread as well as Elite all purpose serger thread.
